A very warm welcome to All Saints Church, Burstwick. For centuries the church has been at the heart of the village and we hope that it will remain so for generations to come. All Saints Church has played an active part in the lives of Burstwick villagers for almost 800 years and many people throughout the ages have been baptised, married or buried at All Saint’s Church. We would like to welcome you to join us for our regular services on special occasions.
The building itself is a beautiful Norman building dating back to 1228 with a combination of plain and stained glass windows giving a warm, friendly and light interior. We have an active bell tower with regular visiting teams and a 19th century pipe organ which is available to accompany special services such as weddings. The church choir and visiting Deanery choir can be available on request. The church also houses a rare hatchment depicting the beheading of Charles 1st.
The churchyard is maintained by a small but dedicated award winning team of volunteers. New volunteers are always welcome to help with the maintenance of this beautiful building, or to join the gardeners to help with the churchyard or for a chat and a coffee.
